We are seeking a Senior Project Manager/Project Leader to lead the successful delivery of enterprise Azure cloud application and infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will manage the full project lifecycle, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder engagement while coordinating cross-functional technical teams. This role requires extensive experience delivering complex cloud and infrastructure projects within structured project management frameworks and ensuring alignment with organizational governance, security, and architecture standards.
A key initiative for this engagement includes leading the upgrade of enterprise Windows Server environments to Windows Server 2019/2022 platforms.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Azure cloud application and infrastructure projects, ensuring successful execution within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams consisting of developers, business analysts, architects, infrastructure specialists, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Partner with business and operational stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable project plans and technical delivery strategies.
- Oversee project governance, sprint planning and execution, stakeholder communications, issue management, and decision tracking.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues proactively, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project impacts.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, and resource planning to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
- Prepare executive-level status reports, dashboards, presentations, and steering committee materials.
- Ensure compliance with organizational project management methodologies, governance standards, cloud security requirements, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Facilitate communication between technical and business teams to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate project activities across multiple workstreams while managing competing priorities and cross-functional dependencies.
- Promote project management best practices and continuous improvement across project teams.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet business objectives and are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Lead the planning and coordination of Windows Server 2019/2022 upgrade activities, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading large-scale Azure cloud application or infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing end-to-end project delivery, including project planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading cross-functional technical teams, including developers, architects, business analysts, infrastructure specialists, and third-party vendors.
- Proven experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Strong experience developing and managing project schedules, deliverables, budgets, resource plans, and project scope.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor project financials, forecast costs, and provide executive-level reporting.
- Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating complex project risks and issues.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams and complex project dependencies.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud technologies, cloud governance, security principles, and enterprise IT environments.
- Experience delivering Windows Server upgrade or infrastructure modernization projects is considered a strong asset.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset but is not required.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced enterprise environments while managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
