Office & Operations Manager
Dance Zone Performing Arts Centre / Millennium Dance Productions (MDP)
Position Overview
We're seeking an organized, detail-oriented Office & Operations Manager to support two connected sides of our business: the day-to-day operations of Dance Zone Performing Arts Centre, and the event/competition operations of Millennium Dance Productions (MDP), which runs events including The Beast, Snap!, Millennium Dance Festival, Danceabition, and Atlantic Dance Championships (ADC).
Part 1: Dance Zone Performing Arts Centre (Studio Operations)
- Manage day-to-day studio email correspondence and inquiries
- Respond to parent and student questions in a professional, approachable manner
- Facilitate registration recruitment for all studio programs
- Implement and manage registration packages across all programs
- Maintain and update payment schedules to ensure all student accounts are current and paid on time/by deadlines
- Assist with scheduling for classes, rehearsals, and other studio activities
- Support general administrative needs of the studio
- Help maintain smooth day-to-day office operations
Part 2: Millennium Dance Productions (MDP Events & Competitions)
Communications
- Serve as a point of contact for studio and vendor communications related to MDP events
- Draft and send broadcast emails/updates to attending studios
Registrations
- Assist competing studios with online registration for MDP events
- Troubleshoot registration issues and respond to studio questions
Event Planning & Execution
- Work with the events team to plan and prepare for competitions
- Coordinate logistics and on-site preparation ahead of each event
- Assist with event-day scheduling and timeline coordination
- Travel as required for multiple days/nights to attend competition events (company paid)
Awards & Order Management
- Coordinate medal and trophy orders for MDP events
- Manage award quantities and ordering (in collaboration with another team member)
- Track inventory and ensure awards are ready ahead of event dates
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities, especially during peak competition season
- Experience with online registration platforms and general office/admin software (an asset)
- Dance industry or event/competition experience a plus, but not required
- Team player who collaborates well on logistics and orders
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Other duties as required
* Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, customer service skills, and other qualifications. The full salary range reflects potential growth within the role.
Pay: $35,099.62-$52,416.02 per year
