We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Building Structures Division to work out of our Burlington office.

Responsibilities
· Responsible for the planning, executing and delivery of Structural Engineering projects, ensuring the project is within budget and on schedule while managing the clients’ expectations
· Manage day-to-day client interactions, communicate effectively with clients and internal/external project teams, and continually seek opportunities to increase client satisfaction
· Managing project execution by providing direction to the project team, appropriately scheduling time and acting as main point of contact between internal and external project teams
· Well versed and experienced in the use of 3D structural modeling software programs for multistory residential buildings. Strong knowledge of Part 4 Loading requirements as specified in OBC and NBC.
· Develop detailed structural designs for a variety of structural engineering projects including multistory residential precast buildings, commercial and industrial building structures
· Perform complex engineering calculations and designs based on engineering principles and technical skill, experience, innovation, and engineering judgment, to transform project scope from concept design to construction, meeting applicable regulatory codes and standards
· Other related duties, as assigned
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with courses related to structural engineering;
· Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.)
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a consulting firm;
· Advanced understanding of building structural design, the Ontario Building Code, the building permit processes, and applicable regulations, standards and legislation related to structural engineering projects;
· Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel;
· Strong written and verbal communication skills;
· Excellent time management and organization skills;
· Experience with technical report writing;
· Access to a vehicle and a valid ‘G’ driver’s license for travel to project sites. Mileage will be reimbursed for work related travel.

Salary Range
· $84,000 - $105,000 per year base salary, plus benefits
Annual Salary will be based on individual education, qualifications, and relevant work experience.
