About Aboki Grill
Aboki Grill is a Nigerian grill and comfort-food kitchen in Vancouver's East Hastings. We cook bold Nigerian and West African dishes — jollof, suya, pepper soups, swallow and more — for delivery, pickup, and weekly meal plans. We're a small, fast-moving, friendly kitchen, and we're growing.
The Role
We're hiring a part-time Pastry Chef to make our sweets and baked goods to a consistent, high standard and package them for orders.
What you'll do:
- Prepare, bake, and finish pastries and desserts to recipe (puff puff, meat pie, chin chin, daily bakes)
- Portion, package, and label for delivery, pickup, and events
- Keep consistency across every batch; maintain a clean, sanitary station
- Manage baking prep and ingredient stock
What we're looking for:
- Baking or pastry experience (professional or strong hands-on)
- Detail-oriented and consistent; takes pride in the finish
- FoodSafe Level 1 an asset, or willing to get it
- West African or Nigerian baking a plus — not required
