Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial and construction electrical work, with proficiency in reading schematics and working with low voltage systems. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including renovation and new installations, utilizing a wide range of hand tools and power tools. Candidates should have experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics, along with handyman skills that support comprehensive electrical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in industrial, commercial, or residential settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring and system layouts
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes efficiently
- Work with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper operation of automated equipment
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks
- Assist with renovation projects by upgrading or replacing existing electrical infrastructure
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within scope
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician with a valid journeyman/woman license or certification
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical codes
- Experience working in industrial settings or construction environments preferred
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring, PLCs, and automation systems is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with various power tools, hand tools, and troubleshooting equipment
- Additional handyman or renovation experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
