Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customs Coordinator to join our logistics and supply chain team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing customs documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and coordinating transportation activities. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment that emphasizes process improvement, data analysis, and efficient materials management across various platforms .The Customs Coordinator will collaborate closely with procurement, freight providers, 3PL partners, and warehouse teams to streamline order fulfillment and shipping & receiving operations.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Scan and process paperwork from daily city pick-ups.
- Submit customs invoices to brokers and follow up on customs clearance.
- Create and monitor ACE manifests using Smart Border.
- Prepare cross-border paperwork for drivers.
- Prevent border delays by auditing loading manifests and reviewing shipping documents.
- Communicate issues, changes, and delays to drivers, operations team, partner carriers, and customers.
- Analyze trends in commodity export/import and make decisions regarding shipments.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Education:
- Comfortable to pass a criminal background check
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of cross-border operations, including customs, brokers, clients, and long-haul drivers.
- Proficient in PC applications, including TMS, MS Office, and Border Connect.
- Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
This role is integral to maintaining seamless supply chain operations while ensuring compliance with global trade standards. The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise in logistics systems and practical experience in warehouse distribution or procurement functions - driving efficiency across our international shipping activities.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
