We are currently seeking an experienced Immigration File Specialist to assist with the preparation and management of:
- Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) applications
- Criminal Rehabilitation applications
- Legal Opinion Letter support files
- Criminal inadmissibility assessments
This position is focused strictly on file preparation and case management. No sales responsibilities are required.
We are looking for someone detail-oriented, professional, and capable of delivering a premium, high-touch client experience.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will work remotely with our team to prepare high-quality immigration and inadmissibility application packages for clients, primarily involving U.S. citizens seeking entry into Canada despite criminal history concerns.
This role is ideal for someone who already has hands-on experience preparing Canadian immigration or inadmissibility files and who understands the importance of accuracy, organization, discretion, and client communication.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize TRP and Criminal Rehabilitation applications
- Assist with supporting documentation and evidence collection
- Draft file summaries and supporting materials
- Communicate with clients regarding required documentation and file updates
- Review criminal history documentation and identify relevant issues
- Maintain organized digital case files and internal tracking systems
- Ensure applications are professionally prepared and submission-ready
- Work collaboratively with management and legal professionals on complex files
Qualifications
- Prior experience preparing TRP and/or Criminal Rehabilitation files is strongly preferred
- Experience in Canadian immigration or inadmissibility matters required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Bilingual English/French is considered an asset, but not required
- RCIC experience or immigration law office experience considered an asset
