Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant to support classroom activities and foster a positive learning environment for young children. This role is vital in assisting lead teachers with daily instructional tasks, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and promoting early childhood development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and relevant experience in early childhood education or related fields.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities aligned with curriculum standards.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through engaging interactions.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety at all times.
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining a clean learning environment.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing appropriate assistance and encouragement.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education best practices.
Qualifications
- Previous classroom experience or experience working with children is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to engage children in educational activities that promote learning in math, literacy, social skills, and creativity.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting young children's growth and development.
- Relevant certifications or training in early childhood education are desirable but not required.
