Overview:
We're looking to hire an experienced floral designer at Flower Factory in Vancouver!
Our small business is a warm, welcoming environment with a supportive work family culture. We are an award winning Vancouver florist, established 1996. Our shop is fast-paced and well-known in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.
As a floral designer, you'll be responsible for creating floral arrangements for daily clientele, weddings and events. Wedding and event floral installations on location may also be required. Providing exceptional customer service to our in-store clients is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Design and create floral arrangements for in-store customers, weddings and events.
- Provide excellent customer service with a wide range of clientele.
- Installation and set-up of wedding and event florals on location.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is necessary. (Eg. setting a centrepiece on a pedestal in the middle of a large table, installing floral archways, etc.)
- Transport florals to/from location via company vehicle (Valid Driver's License required)
- Work effectively as a member of a team-oriented environment.
- Flexible work schedule (including weekend availability and some major holidays).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Floral Designer.
- Knowledge of different types of flower types and arrangement styles.
- Artistic and creative.
- Must be local to Vancouver or the lower mainland.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Cash handling and cashiering; strong retail sales skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Fluent in English is mandatory.
