Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Vac Truck Operator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized vacuum trucks designed for cleaning, hydro excavation, and environmental services. Your expertise will ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operations across various construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment while contributing to essential infrastructure and environmental maintenance.
Duties:
- Ability to drive manual transmission.
- Willing to train on the hydrovac.
- Willing and able to participate in labour duties when needed.
- Ability to get to the job site in a reliable and timely manner
- Conducting pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality before each shift.
- Assiting with Construction activities.
- Safely maneuver and operate equipment in diverse terrains and tight spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations during operations to prevent accidents or spills
- Collaborating with team members to coordinate project tasks efficiently and meet deadlines Experience
- Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating large vehicles safely.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
- Ability to quickly learn new machinery functions and adapt to different project requirements.
Requirements
- Must be willing to join LiUNA 837 and obtain clearance from them.
- Must be able to provide a clean CVOR and Driver Abstract.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 48.0 per week
