Job Summary
The Assistant Manager & Shift Leader plays a vital role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting team members in a dynamic hospitality environment. This position involves leadership responsibilities, customer service excellence, and operational management to maintain high standards of service and efficiency.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant or hospitality operations, including staff scheduling and task delegation
- Lead shift activities to ensure smooth service flow and adherence to quality standards
- Provide outstanding guest services by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures
- Support team training and development to promote a positive work environment
- Monitor cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with management to implement promotional activities and improve service delivery
- Serve as a role model for staff by demonstrating professionalism, hospitality, and excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or guest services preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with guests and staff
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic point-of-sale operations
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
- A positive attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences
Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
