We are looking for a Laser Operator to join our metal fabrication team. The successful candidate will operate our Bodor 3KW fiber laser to produce quality metal parts accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the Bodor 3KW fiber laser.
- Load and unload metal sheets and extrusions.
- Set up jobs using drawings and cutting files.
- Check finished parts for quality and accuracy.
- Read and understand shop drawings.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
- Make basic adjustments to cutting files when needed.
- Keep the laser and work area clean and organized.
- Perform basic machine maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Meet production schedules and deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous laser or CNC experience is an asset.
- Metal fabrication experience is an asset.
- AutoCAD experience is helpful.
- Ability to read shop drawings.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to learn.
