We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will support the daily financial operations of the dealership, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on accounting experience in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review, balance, and post work orders to the General Ledger
- Prepare bank deposits and reconcile credit card transactions
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing and collections follow-up
- Process supplier invoices, verify against purchase orders, and enter into the Dealer Management System
- Reconcile supplier statements and coordinate monthly vendor payments
- Enter journal entries, receipts, and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare documentation and reports for audits
- Maintain organized accounting files and provide backup support to the accounting team
- Perform other related duties as required
Job Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; experience with dealership management software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting field.
