Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role is essential in ensuring smooth seating arrangements, managing reservations, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the overall dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the waitlist efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Handle reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as givex POS or similar platforms
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings or general questions
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Manage guest concerns promptly and courteously to ensure satisfaction
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that reflects excellent hospitality standards
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience with hotel or restaurant customer service is a plus
- Knowledge of food service protocols and restaurant etiquette is desirable
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
