Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and assist with food and beverage selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery of food and drinks
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, processing payments accurately, and providing change
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all service areas, including tables, counters, and kitchen stations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with strong guest service skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and cashiering tasks
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and upselling transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
- Previous kitchen or food industry experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and flexibility
