We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and presentation standards
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance skills and teamwork
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and ensure all equipment is properly maintained
- Serve as a leader during service hours, supporting staff to deliver excellent customer experiences
- Enforce health and safety policies across the kitchen environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with team management responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Demonstrated expertise in restaurant management, including inventory control and operational oversight
- Exceptional skills in food industry practices, hospitality standards, and restaurant experience
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards serving guests and supporting staff members
- Prior experience with food handling regulations and serving protocols is highly desirable
Pay: $20.00-$27.30 per hour
