Job Summary
(Full-Time (Sunday - Thursday 10:30am-6:30pm)
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook to join our team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will possess strong food service experience, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling, with a passion for delivering quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant or food industry setting. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the health and satisfaction of our residents through excellent meal service and culinary support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Serve residents with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency, maintaining excellent food service standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients to support kitchen operations.
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Support kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery and accommodate special dietary needs.
- Maintain a positive attitude and foster teamwork within the dining environment to enhance resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry with a focus on meal preparation and serving.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Strong skills in cooking, food presentation, and serving techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with residents and team members.
- Experience working in a healthcare or senior living setting is an asset but not required.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring resident comfort through quality food service.
