What to Expect on the Job
The successful candidate will work as required in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with other team members and be able to perform the following:
- Qualified to operate trolleys, lifts, and Raymond Reach trucks, or be willing to take the training to become qualified
- Unloading/loading of trucks, receiving, tallying, and picking orders
- Providing excellent customer service to all our internal customers
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Quality reading and writing skills and the ability to understand production work order sheets, schedules, and truck delivery schedules
- Have good knowledge of all frozen products
- Have good mathematical skills
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures
- Participating in safety and quality audits
- Involved with problem-solving issues and inventory discrepancies
- Ensuring the safe and proper storage of ingredients, packaging, raw materials, and finished goods
- Possess excellent customer service relations and the ability to maintain inventory accuracy
- Perform any other assigned jobs that are not covered in this posting
- Be physically fit to perform job requirements and capable of repetitive heavy lifting
- Ensure the safety and wellness of yourself, other employees at HLF, and our customers by following proper safe work procedures and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
We’re a fish company! You’ll be helping our Production team make our award-winning products. Working within a cold storage environment and with quality perishable products means we work quickly as a team to ensure top-quality products are shipped to our customers.
Our team members work within variable-temperature storage environments to receive and pack raw materials. This team is on the move!
Compensation
Your wage to start will be $22.68/hour, increasing to $23.94/hour after 6 months and $25.20/hour after one year, with additional raises typically coming into effect January 1 of each year.

- Commitment to Health, Safety, and Hygiene practices at all times
- Reliable and committed to quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excited about work variety and comfortable with varying temperatures, including cold and damp environments (we provide PPE!)
- Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
- A genuine passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement
Nice to Haves
- Previous work experience within manufacturing and/or food manufacturing
- Experience with inventory control and systems
- Previous experience within Shipping and Receiving roles
- Experience with Continuous Improvement tools such as 5S, Fishbone Diagrams, 5-Whys, etc., is considered an asset
