Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients, with experience in senior care, disability support, or related fields. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assist with medication reminders, following prescribed protocols and medical terminology guidelines
- Support individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized care technique
Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR Certifications
- Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Prior experience in nursing homes, senior care, home care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, medication administration, and medical terminology is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of caregiving tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and caregiving
- Experience in meal preparation and assisting with daily living activities
- Certification or training in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to providing excellent patient-centered support
