Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong millwright experience, although a valid Millwright Certificate of Qualification is not required.
Duties
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
- Install, align, dismantle, and relocate industrial machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Inspect equipment for wear and identify potential mechanical issues before failures occur.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
Experience
- 3+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance or millwright experience.
- Millwright certification is not required.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, conveyors, and power transmission equipment.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and hand/power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
