Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and efficient Cashier/Food Service Team Member to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, accurately handle transactions, and assist with food preparation, baking, and cooking duties. This role requires strong attention to detail, good communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to maintain high food safety and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using the Point of Sale system.
Handle cash carefully and maintain an organized cash drawer.
Prepare, bake, and cook food items as required, following store standards and food safety guidelines.
Ensure fresh food items are stocked, rotated, and displayed properly.Monitor food quality, expiry dates, and holding times.
Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting meal deals, snacks, drinks, or other complementary items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, food preparation area, and store.
Address customer questions or concerns in a professional manner.Work with team members to support smooth daily store operations.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in English; bilingual candidates are welcome to apply.
Previous experience in retail, cashiering, food service, baking, or cooking is preferred.
Must be comfortable preparing and handling food.
Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail.
Ability to follow food safety, cleanliness, and store procedures.
A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
