Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deck and Fence Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and various construction techniques, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics, but also work off photos, inspiration, and basic plans. This role involves building, repairing, and restoring decks and fences, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The position offers opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic construction environment. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH DECKS AND FENCES AND BE ABLE TO PROVE QUALITY OF WORK.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute projects
- Construct, install, repair, and restore decks, fences, using hand tools and power tools
- Handle heavy lifting safely to move materials and equipment around the job site
- Measure dimensions precisely to ensure proper fit and alignment of structures
- Utilize construction estimating skills for material planning and project timelines
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or general construction with a focus on decks and fences
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, masonry equipment, and other construction machinery
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Valid experience is required
- Construction experience including framing, deck building, fence building, railing installation is required
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and work effectively within a team environment
Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
