Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness standards to ensure a positive experience for our customers. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions accurately
- Handle cash and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling and preparation
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving snacks or light meals
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and food safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
