Job description:
We require a Registered Electrical Apprentice to add to our team at Eco Lighting & Electrical Inc. We are looking for a self-motivated and eager individual who wants to be part of our team, is willing to show up on time, and works accurately and efficiently.
The successful candidate must have completed 1st year electrical schooling, a pre-employment electrician program, or have equivalent hands-on experience working for an electrical contractor.
- Service experience is preferred
- Commercial experience is preferred
- Commercial lighting experience is preferred
Candidate must be registered or able to register with Alberta Industry and Trades as an apprentice.
Eco Lighting & Electrical is an independent supplier, distributor, and installer of LED lighting products, control systems, and electrical distribution systems. We specialize in offering LED lighting solutions for many different applications including commercial, residential, industrial, multi-family, and horticultural. Our services range from wholesale, to retrofits, to new construction applications, and installation services.
As a member of our team, you will need to be passionate about your work and perform with a high level of energy, reliability, and efficiency. We're looking for someone who can work with a reasonable degree of independence on-site, troubleshoot issues rather than just report them, and represent our team professionally — much of our work takes place in occupied residential and commercial buildings, so how you carry yourself around residents and property staff matters as much as the technical work itself.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Be an indentured apprentice
- Clean driving record and abstract
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the shop or job sites
- Willing and able to perform required tasks on sites with varying requirements
- Can-do attitude, ability to learn, and willingness to accept constructive feedback from team members on how to do better
- Ability to work safely towards successful project completion, with sound judgment when working with limited supervision
- Fall protection and lift training is required
Responsibilities
This is a position that could expand into future management opportunities for our team. Hours vary depending on projects. Jobs are mostly in Calgary and area.
Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour
