Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Water/Vac Truck Operator to join our team for our Peace River, BC location. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating vacuum trucks to safely load, transport, and dispose of liquid and semi-liquid materials. This role requires strong attention to safety, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in field-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate water/vac trucks in compliance with all safety, environmental, and transportation regulations
- Load, transport, and unload liquid, semi-liquid, and solid materials
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections
- Monitor gauges, hoses, valves, and pumps during operations
- Complete daily logs, service tickets, and required documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers
- Follow all company policies, site-specific safety rules, and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle and work area
- Respond to spills or emergency situations according to procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (air brakes required)
- Previous vac truck experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and safe driving practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of handling hoses, climbing ladders, and lifting equipment
- Clean driver’s abstract is required
- H2S Alive & First Aid is required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Shift
- 21 days on and 10 days off
