Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Support meal preparation by chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and setting up stations for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Help with food plating and presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing.
- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
- Collaborate with team members during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Assist with basic catering tasks and special event setups as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, or restaurant work is preferred.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Experience with menu planning, meal prep, and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
