Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Back of House Team Member to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, and supporting the front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with cooking and food preparation tasks to ensure timely service
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and equipment
- Support meal preparation activities during busy hours to optimize efficiency
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines diligently
- Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless flow of kitchen operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and basic cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of the food industry and meal preparation processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends if required
- Food industry or restaurant experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: $17.20-$17.60 per hour
