About Cowboys Casino
Cowboys Casino was established in 2011 and is owned by the Calgary Stampede. Located in the heart of downtown Calgary, Cowboys Casino is home to over 280 employees in 7 different departments. The facility is open to the public 9:30AM – 5AM daily, has 3 restaurants, a dancehall, 32 table games, a 24-hour Poker room, over 370 slot machines and a sport viewing lounge. Operating 364 days a year Cowboys Casino is a staple in the city of Calgary and a premier entertainment destination.
The Position
We have a part-time position for a Server to work in our ridiculously fun Centre Bar department as hockey season is upon us. If your idea of a good time is running yourself ragged in a casino full of thirsty Flames fans (working with an amazing team), then this the job for you!
Here's what your day will look like
- You'll create an extraordinary escape for our customers. Customer service is a foundational skill for us at Cowboys Casino and you will be on the front line.
- Of course, you will serve drinks (handcrafted cocktails, beer, and everything in between) and food (from our 3 in-house restaurants) across the casino floor
- You’ll get to know the menu so well you could recite it forwards and backwards, blindfolded, in your sleep.
- And keep your service areas so clean you can see your reflection.
- You'll set your teammates up for their shifts: restock supplies and organize service areas.
All of this in an environment that ranges from chill, mellow evenings, to thrilling, packed hockey nights.
Here's what we'd like to see from you
- Previous customer service experience. Ideally, you've worked in a fast-paced food and beverage job for at least 6 months.
- You are a self-motivated hard worker. You relish the prospect of wearing out the soles of your shoes as you fly across a packed casino floor each night.
- You take pride in yourself and your appearance. Good health and hygiene is a must!
- You have a passion for learning and growing. You want to know more about food and beverage service and how you can elevate your game.
- You have a cheerful, positive attitude, and you care about those you work with— your actions show it.
- You laugh in the face of stressful situations!
- ProServe is a must.
