Job Overview
Paramount Components is growing rapdily and seeking 1-2 Punch press operators to join our team. Day shift and afternoon shift. The ideal candidates will be responsible for operating punch press machinery to produce precise metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and familiarity with various manufacturing equipment and techniques. Our punch presses are TRUMPF 1000 and 2020s, the ideal candiate will have run these machines or minimum experience on Turret style machines ( Prima, Amada etc) Only those with similar experience will be considered.
Shifts available:
Day: Monday to Friday 6:00am-2:30pm ( hiring 1 opertator )
Afternoon: Monday to Thursday (4/10s) 12:00pm-10:30pm ( Hiring 1 operator )$1 premium ontop of wage agreed upon.
Duties
- Set up and operate punch press machines to produce metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices for quality inspection and ensuring dimensional accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting on punch press equipment
- Assist with material handling using cranes, forklifts, or plasma cutting tools as needed
- Monitor machine operations for safety and efficiency, making adjustments to optimize performance
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts and document inspection results
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety guidelines
Requirements
- Proven experience operating punch press machines in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical knowledge of CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, welding, and machining processes is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with quality inspection procedures and assembly processes
- Knowledge of crane operation, forklift handling, and plasma cutting equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and precision
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting running 3 punches at once with a helper.

Pay: $27.00-$31.00 per hour
