ABOUT THE POSITION: Reporting to the Millwright, PMT is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our team and assist in our goals of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various commercial settings. Assisting the Millwright with preventative maintenance and repair work as needed. Keeping up with daily and weekly machine cleaning tasks. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will have multiple opportunities to learn different roles and operations and may be asked to assist with production as needed.
RESPONIBILITIES:
· Responsible for the supporting preventive maintenance by cleaning various machines and equipment.
· Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
· Handle waste disposal and recycling in compliance with company policies.
· Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
· Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
· Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all occupants.
· Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
· Must comply with site safety standards, which could include understanding risk management and emergency procedures.
· Communicate regularly with other team members to coordinate site cleanup and maintenance
· Maintain an inventory of shop supplies required to perform repairs.

Safety and Compliance:
· Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe work practices.
· Participate in safety training programs and contribute to the development of safety initiatives to promote a culture of safety.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (OH&S) and company policies related to manufacturing and environmental regulations.
Facility Maintenance:
· Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production area
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities
· Document cleaning procedures to support equipment history and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
· Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
· Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus.
· Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
· Safety shoes required
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
