In your day-to-day, you will:
- Manage complex Internal Medicine cases and develop thoughtful diagnostic and treatment plans tailored to each patient.
- Perform and/or coordinate advanced diagnostics, including ultrasound, digital radiography, and in-house laboratory testing.
- Coordinate with Emergency and surgical teams to provide comprehensive care for shared patients.
- Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians through timely communication and collaborative case management.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners throughout the diagnostic and treatment process.
- Help develop and grow the Internal Medicine service as the hospital expands its specialty offerings.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture through collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
- Identify opportunities to expand your clinical interests and shape your practice based on the needs of the community and your professional goals.
What You Bring
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for veterinary licensure in Ontario.
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or completion of an Internal Medicine residency; board-eligible and residency-trained candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
- A passion for diagnostic medicine, continuous learning, and advancing specialty care.
- An interest in helping develop and grow an Internal Medicine service within an expanding referral hospital.
