Following a recent change in ownership, Golden Bamboo is entering a new stage of development. In addition to our existing restaurant operations, we are developing a frozen hotpot product line and expanding our takeout and ready-to-eat product offerings.
As part of this development, we are looking for a Production Logistics Coordinator – Frozen Food to help coordinate the production requirements and material flow associated with our growing frozen-food operation.
About the Position
The Production Logistics Coordinator will coordinate production schedules, material requirements and product flow for the Company's frozen-food operations.
Working closely with management, production staff and suppliers, the successful candidate will help ensure that the materials required for production are available on time, production schedules are properly coordinated, and finished products are moved efficiently into storage and prepared for customer orders.
This position is well suited to an organized individual with practical experience in production, logistics, inventory coordination or food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules for frozen hotpot products based on customer orders, inventory and production requirements.
- Coordinate the availability and delivery of ingredients, packaging materials and other supplies required for production.
- Monitor production progress and communicate material shortages, delays or scheduling issues to management.
- Coordinate the movement of raw materials into production and finished products into designated freezer and storage areas.
- Monitor material and finished-product inventory and coordinate replenishment requirements when necessary.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability, delivery schedules and material requirements.
- Maintain production, inventory and material records and prepare reports for management.
- Assist with planning production requirements for new frozen-food products and changing customer demand.
- Identify issues affecting production flow and recommend practical improvements to production scheduling and material coordination.
- Assist management in developing and maintaining production logistics procedures as the frozen-food operation expands.
Qualifications
- Completion of a post-secondary education program is preferred.
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience in production logistics, production coordination, supply-chain operations, manufacturing or a related field.
- Experience in food production, frozen foods, food manufacturing, or temperature-controlled products is a strong asset.
- Experience coordinating production schedules, materials or inventory.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with production staff, suppliers and management.
