Who you are:
You have a minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in civil construction or a related field.
- Proven experience managing projects involving earthworks, underground utilities, roads, site development, or other civil infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, contracts, budgeting, and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with project management and scheduling software is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of applicable construction safety standards and regulations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related education is considered an asset.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage civil construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate daily construction activities with site supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, costs, and overall performance.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Review project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project resources.
- Prepare and review project estimates, change orders, progress claims, and cost reports.
- Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Manage project changes, deficiencies, delays, and issues as they arise.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable safety regulations, environmental requirements, codes, and company policies.
- Work closely with the Health & Safety team to promote a strong safety culture and ensure project safety requirements are met.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide clear updates on project status, schedule, costs, and issues.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, records, reports, and correspondence.
- Review subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed according to contract requirements.
- Assist with tendering, estimating, budgeting, and business development activities when required.
- Participate in project closeout, including deficiency completion, documentation, as-builts, warranties, and final billing.
- Lead and support project teams while fostering a professional, collaborative, and accountable work environment.
