As a key member of our Service Team, you will work directly with residential and light commercial customers, providing expert diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and service of heating, cooling, and water heating systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment and related systems.
- Service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, water heaters, tankless water heaters, thermostats, zoning systems, and related equipment.
- Respond to emergency service calls and perform timely repairs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Perform system start-ups, commissioning, testing, and performance verification.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Complete routine maintenance and seasonal inspections on HVAC equipment.
- Identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions before failures occur.
- Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently according to manufacturer specifications.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience on every service call.
- Educate customers on the value of preventative maintenance and recommend maintenance plans that align with their equipment and comfort needs.
- Clearly explain findings, repair options, and recommendations in a professional manner.
- Build strong customer rapport and trust through exceptional communication, professionalism, and a customer-first approach on every service call.
- Identify opportunities for maintenance plan memberships, system upgrades, indoor air quality solutions, and equipment replacements through consultative recommendations.
- Generate qualified leads for replacement sales and other company services, ensuring customers are connected with the appropriate sales or comfort advisor when needed.
- Support company growth through excellent customer interactions and service delivery.
- Consistently achieve customer satisfaction, maintenance plan enrollment, and lead generation goals while maintaining a high standard of ethical, consultative selling.
- Complete work orders, service reports, inspection documentation, and inventory records accurately and on time.
- Maintain truck stock inventory and ensure service vehicle organization.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable industry regulations.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.
- Maintain required licenses and certifications.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or related experience.
- Minimum 3+ years in a HVAC service experience.
- Valid Gas Technician 2 (G2) License (preferred Gas Technician 1 (G1) License).
- Certificate of Qualification as an Air Conditioning Mechanic (313D or 313A).
- Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certification.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Experience with Wi-Fi thermostats, smart home products, and other connected products.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to diagnose customer needs.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and service management software.
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts and standby duties as required.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, weekend and overtime when required
