Job Summary:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator at JVC Group Ltd., you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various heavy equipment including, but not limited to, skid steers, bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, hydrovacs, combo vacs, water trucks, dump trucks, and tank trucks.

Employees may be required to transition between equipment operation, labour support, and other field-based responsibilities as needed.
You will work closely with the management team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within required specifications, while consistently adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment including skid steers, bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders
- Safely operate hydrovacs, combo vacs, tank trucks, water trucks, and dump trucks
- Perform general labour duties and assist with multiple field-based tasks as required
- Utilize mobile applications to complete pre- and post-trip inspections and job documentation
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation
- Clean, lubricate, and service equipment, including refilling tanks and fluids
- Collaborate with management and team members to meet project deadlines and specifications
- Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and client requirements
- Participate in hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and field safety planning
- Ensure proper care, inspection, and storage of equipment when not in use
- Support confined space, ground disturbance, and other specialized operations when required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
- Valid and up-to-date operator experience (formal certification considered an asset but not mandatory)
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and field procedures
- Ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and able to work long hours in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn
- Enjoy working in a team-oriented environment
- Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license considered a strong asset
- Willingness to be trained and developed in multiple roles within the company is essential

- H2S Alive
- Standard First Aid
- CSTS Fundamentals
- Ground Disturbance Level II
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space Entry, Monitor & Rescue
