Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia support.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Support with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and respectful relationship
- Help clients with daily activities such as shopping, errands, and transportation as needed
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure all client needs are met effectively
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid certification or training in caregiving or personal support work is preferred but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, respectful, and committed to providing high-quality care in a professional manner
Pay: $23.00-$29.42 per hour
