As a Materials Expeditor, you'll play a key role in supporting offshore logistics operations by ensuring critical materials and equipment are accurately tracked, stored, and delivered when and where they're needed. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating multiple priorities, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and efficiency throughout the logistics process.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reporting as part of the logistics operations team, you will:
- Manage inventory control for offshore equipment, materials, and surplus ("junk") inventory.
- Coordinate inventory disposal requests with client logistics teams.
- Review and verify incoming offshore manifests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate incoming storage requests and ensure materials are properly received, documented, and stored for future accessibility.
- Liaise with offshore logistics personnel to expedite, track, and trace equipment and materials destined for offshore rigs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records while responding to requests received through email, phone, and other communication channels.
- Support warehouse operations as required, including shipping, receiving, storing, tagging, and distributing bonded and domestic goods.
- Assist with unloading trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts or pallet jacks when operational needs require.
- Support container consolidation, crating, de-crating, and loading activities.
- Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment while taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
What You'll Bring
- The ideal candidate brings a combination of logistics experience, technical knowledge, and a collaborative approach, including:
- 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, offshore logistics, materials management, or a related field.
- Relevant post-secondary education.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Gmail.
- A team-first attitude with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- The following certifications are required (or the ability to obtain and maintain them):
- Air Cargo Security
- Forklift Certification
- Hearing Assessment
- Rigging & Slinging
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Marine)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Road)
- WHMIS
