Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, enthusiastic, organized and hard-working Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating invoices from shipping documents, managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely account reconciliation. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and excellent customer service skills to support our financial operations effectively. Prior experience with tools like QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft is preferred, along with strong analytical and data entry skills. The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by accurately processing transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Duties to Include but not limited to the following
- Manage and process accounts receivable transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payments via phone or email with professional phone etiquette
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including invoices, payments, and adjustments
- Collaborate with the shipping department and other staff members and also be able to work alone with minimal supervision.
Skills
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards during all procedure
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, account reconciliation, and bookkeeping principles
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective negotiation skills for payment collections and dispute resolution
- Customer service excellence with professional phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be highly proficient in written and spoken English
