Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment across various venues and settings. This role requires a strong technical background, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with complex systems involving low voltage and electrical components. The Audio Visual Technician plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operation of AV systems for corporate events, conferences, and other multimedia presentations.
Duties
- Install, configure, and operate audio-visual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of AV hardware and software to ensure optimal performance
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for system setup and repairs
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to computer hardware, telecommunication systems, and low voltage electrical components
- Use hand tools for adjustments, repairs, or installations of AV equipment
- Collaborate with clients and event coordinators to ensure technical requirements are met
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Assist in system upgrades and integration of new technology solutions
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment installation and repair
- Experience working with computer hardware and telecommunication systems
- Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams accurately
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring techniques and electrical safety standards
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for AV equipment
- Hands-on experience with hand tools used in technical installations
- Basic understanding of electrical experience related to AV systems setup and troubleshooting
