Naan N Curry is looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Front of House Team Member to join our team at our Halifax location.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, can stay organized during busy periods, and takes pride in providing great service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately in person and over the phone
- Process payments and operate the POS system
- Prepare and organize takeout and delivery orders
- Coordinate orders from Uber Eats, DoorDash, and other online platforms
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and ready on time
- Package food and ensure all items, sauces, drinks, and sides are included
- Keep the front counter, customer areas, and workstations clean and organized
- Answer customer questions about menu items and specials
- Help promote weekly specials, BOGO offers, and other promotions
- Handle customer concerns professionally
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Help with other restaurant duties when needed
What We're Looking For
- Friendly and confident with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable answering phones and using tablets/POS systems
- Able to work independently when required
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred
- Food Handler Certification is an asset
Schedule
Part-time and full-time hours may be available.
Applicants must have flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
