About the Role
We are looking for a Production Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, setting up, and maintaining production and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, proactive, and comfortable troubleshooting equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Starting Wage: $20.00/hour
Hours: 5:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Schedule: Days vary; approximately 40–50 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate automatic packaging and production equipment.
- Prepare and adjust equipment for different product formats and changeovers.
- Operate equipment such as date printers, case sealers, case formers, packaging machinery, and pallet preparation equipment.
- Supply machines with required materials, including cups, lids, foil, and other packaging supplies.
- Monitor finished products for quality in cooperation with Quality Assurance.
- Follow plant safety procedures, GMPs, HACCP requirements, production schedules, and work instructions.
- Complete production work orders accurately during each shift.
- Monitor machine performance and minimize mechanical downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment issues and perform minor repairs when required.
- Perform unplanned/reactive electrical and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Replace parts and fine-tune machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Maintain machinery and equipment according to OEM specifications.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on yogurt and cheese filling machines, including fully automated equipment using servos, encoders, and precision pneumatics.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and distinguish between mechanical problems and PLC/settings-related issues.
- Support production and ensure equipment operates safely and effectively.
- Review technical training and ensure proper use of equipment.
- Communicate effectively with manufacturers, technicians, and other support teams when troubleshooting is required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

- Willingness to work varying days and an evening/night schedule of 5:00 PM to 4:00 AM.
