Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Lab Technician to join a well established and friendly team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, collecting data, and ensuring quality control standards are met. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision and accuracy are paramount. The Lab Technician will support ongoing research and development projects, ensuring laboratory operations run smoothly and efficiently.

- Position Overview: From raw grain analysis to final product verification, you will manage the full lifecycle of testing, instrument calibration, and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory experiments and tests following established protocols and safety guidelines
- Collect, record, and analyze data accurately to support research objectives
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, results, and observations
- Conduct quality control checks on samples and testing processes to ensure compliance with standards
- Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions as needed for various tests
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues that arise during testing procedures
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment
Experience
- Prior laboratory experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of laboratory techniques and safety procedures
- Demonstrated skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Knowledge of quality control processes within a lab setting
- Proficiency in mathematical calculations relevant to laboratory work
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Your Background:
- Education: A degree in Sciences, with a strong preference for Chemistry or Plant Chemistry.
- Technical Savvy: Experience (or academic exposure) to laboratory equipment, chemical handling, and LIMS.
- Mindset: You learn new methodologies quickly and can juggle multiple tasks without losing your focus on safety and hygiene.
- Experience: 1+ year of professional lab experience is preferred, but they are happy to train a motivated recent graduate with strong academic lab foundations.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
