Overview
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repairs and services. Your expertise in automotive repair and exceptional customer service skills will ensure that our clients receive the best possible experience while maintaining their vehicles. You will work closely with technicians and customers to provide accurate information about services, facilitate communication, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, addressing their automotive needs.
- Assess customer concerns and provide detailed explanations of necessary repairs or services.
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure a clear understanding of technical issues and repair timelines.
- Recommending services or products based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service requests, and transactions.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Stay updated on industry trends, dealership promotions, and new products.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and mechanical systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships.
- Experience in a automotive environment is preferred but not required.
- Sales skills to effectively communicate the value of services offered.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
In compliance with the store's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures:
- Standing/walking for 8 hours.
- Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise items may vary in weight from "light" to "heavy".
- Lifting and turning repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Lifting above the shoulder, from floor to shoulder and floor to waist.
- Going up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise.
- Walking and carrying things at the same time and pushing/pulling, as required.
- Twisting, turning, reaching and working above shoulder level.
