Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join our management team. This pivotal role involves overseeing and executing maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance activities across manufacturing facilities, ensuring timely resolution of equipment issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and facilities to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams for accurate diagnostics and repairs
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and protocols while performing all maintenance tasks
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Assist in facilities maintenance activities including HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building upkeep
Skills
- Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment with leadership responsibilities
- Extensive electrical experience including wiring, troubleshooting control panels, and working with schematics
- Strong mechanical knowledge of equipment and related systems
- Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings with precision
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance including HVAC systems, plumbing, lighting, and general building systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues
- Strong communication skills in English and french for effective collaboration across teams
- Customer service mindset with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders to meet operational needs
