Position Overview
Environmental 360 Solutions is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Sudbury operations. The Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable management of daily operations across environmental service lines, including solid waste, liquid waste, hazardous waste, transportation, and industrial services.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to field and office teams, oversee fleet and equipment utilization, ensure regulatory compliance, manage financial performance, and maintain exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all daily operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery.
- Manage supervisors, drivers, operators, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Oversee routing, dispatch, scheduling, fleet utilization, and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, TDG, Ministry requirements, and health & safety standards.
- Manage site financial performance, including budgets, P&L, labour, productivity, and operational KPIs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
- Support business growth through operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
- Foster a positive, accountable workplace culture focused on safety and customer service.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in waste management, environmental services, transportation, logistics, or industrial operations.
- Experience managing one or more of the following: solid waste, liquid waste, hazardous waste, industrial services, or fleet operations.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, transportation compliance, and health & safety requirements.
- Proven experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and operational performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational management software.
- Valid driver's licence required.
