Full job description
Health Park Early Learning Centre is hiring a Canada Summer Jobs student. Must be currently studying or returning to study in the fall. Eligible fields of study include Early Childhood Education, Teaching Degree, Child and Youth studies, or similar fields.
Shifts would fall between:
· 6:30AM-5:30PM
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom and outdoor environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians
- Maintain accurate records for each child as well as programming documentation
- Collaborate with other teachers to create a cohesive learning environment
- Utilize computerized systems for record keeping and communication
Experience
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire young learners
- Ability to effectively communicate and write in English
- Familiarity with childcare regulations and best practices
