Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Muffler & Exhaust Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive repair, with a focus on exhaust systems, and possess the mechanical knowledge necessary to perform quality repairs and installations. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace mufflers and exhaust systems on various vehicle makes and models
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs and modifications
- Diagnose exhaust leaks, noise issues, and emission-related problems.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to ensure proper assembly and installation
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify exhaust system issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Perform routine maintenance on exhaust components and related automotive systems
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and adheres to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and addressing customer questions professionally
Skills
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Proficiency with welding, schematics reading, and assembly techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting required for installation tasks
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures related to exhaust systems and general vehicle repair
- Mechanic experience with a focus on exhaust systems is highly desirable
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with automotive schematics and technical manuals for accurate repairs
