About the Role
Type: Full-Time
Salary: $90,000–$95,000 CAD
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Winnipeg, MB
As a Senior Financial Analyst , you will play a key role in supporting operational and financial performance across a major logistics operation. Working closely with operational leadership, you will provide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis that drive business decisions and improve profitability.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys partnering with operations, solving complex business challenges, and influencing decision-making through data-driven insights.

What You'll Do
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Partner with Operations leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
- Analyze monthly financial results, investigate variances, and provide recommendations.
- Prepare journal entries, support month-end close activities, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor operational KPIs, profitability, startup costs, and investment initiatives.
- Manage customer billing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable monitoring, and general ledger postings.
- Ensure all revenue opportunities are accurately captured and billed.
- Deliver financial training and guidance to operational leaders on financial policies, procedures, and reporting tools.
- Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance through operational audits and financial controls.
- Act as a key liaison between Operations, Shared Services, and Corporate Finance teams.
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting.
- Strong experience with:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Financial Reporting
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Billing
- Inventory Management & Financial Controls
- Strong understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and financial analysis.
- Experience supporting operations within a logistics, transportation, manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Workday preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, large data analysis, and financial modeling.
- Experience with Power BI is considered an asset.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with operational leaders and influence business decisions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
