Position Summary
The Assistant Team Lead (ATL) supports the Store Manager and leadership team in the daily operation of the store. This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, overseeing store operations, supporting associates, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring a safe and productive shopping environment. The ATL acts as a keyholder and leadership resource, helping drive operational excellence and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the store.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer inquiries professionally.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash management and security protocols.
- Supervise and support store associates during assigned shifts.
- Ensure shelves are stocked, merchandise is properly displayed, and store cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Assist with inventory control, receiving shipment, stock replenishment, and merchandising activities.
- Monitor store operations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support onboarding and training new team members.
- Help create a positive, customer-focused, and team-oriented work environment.
- Step into leadership duties as required in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager
Qualifications
- Previous retail, customer service, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead by example and work effectively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
- Reliable, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced retail environment.
