Meta Steel Buildings Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Intermediate PEMB / Steel / Concrete Detailer to join our engineering and drafting team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate pre-engineered metal building (PEMB), structural steel, and reinforced concrete foundation drawings, including permit, shop, and erection drawings. This role requires close coordination with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings are accurate, constructible, and completed according to project requirements and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate PEMB permit, shop, and erection drawings, including rigid frames, secondary framing, cladding systems, and connection details.
- Produce detailed reinforced concrete foundation drawings, including reinforcement and construction details.
- Review drawings and project information to identify and resolve conflicts, clashes, and constructability issues.
- Prepare accurate material take-offs (MTOs), component lists, and itemized shipping lists for manufacturing and project delivery.
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to incorporate design requirements, revisions, and project-specific details.
- Utilize AutoCAD and efficient drafting techniques to produce accurate drawings within project schedules.
- Apply knowledge of PEMB systems, structural steel fabrication, connections, and building assembly methods.
- Support detailing using Tekla Structures and continue developing proficiency with the software.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Structural Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- 3–5 years of experience in PEMB, structural steel, and/or reinforced concrete detailing.
- Strong experience with CAD drafting and proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Tekla Structures is preferred.
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing, connections, fabrication practices, and reinforced concrete construction.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with engineering and project management teams.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
